Donated to the State in 1923, Napoleon I's birthplace in Ajaccio, which remained in the hands of the Bonaparte family, became a national museum in 1967, under the auspices of the Musée de Malmaison.
The Bonaparte house is not only famous for having seen the future emperor born and raised, it also tells the rich story of his family.
In recent years, the house has been enlarged, enabling visitors to enjoy a tour of the furnished apartments, as well as new museum spaces.
This illustrated book, a source of documentation and a souvenir of the visit, is the perfect complement to the enlarged museum, enabling visitors to learn more about the emperor's origins.
