View of the flower dock in 1880 - Alfred-Louis Brunet-Debaines
This print is a creation of the artist. This view of the Ile de la Cité from the right bank describes life on the banks of the Seine at the end of the 19th century, with its walkers, workers and boats. In the distance, the towers of Notre-Dame overlook the still disparate buildings on the Quai aux Fleurs (this name is due to the nearby presence of the large flower market in Paris).
Alfred-Louis Brunet-Debaines is best known as an aquafortist. He entered the Beaux-Arts on December 18, 1863.
