These maple wood skates features the work of Jean-Michel Basquiat "Untitled (Rotterdam)", 1982.
Before Jean-Michel Basquiat became one of the most significant artists of the 20th century, his work was already legendary on the streets of NYC. His poetic and poignant symbols established a visual vocabulary that continues to inspire new generations of artists around the world. Needless to say, we are very happy to produce this edition of Untitled (Rotterdam), 1982 on skateboards as part of our new collection featuring the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Each skate deck measures approximately 31X8IN (80X20CM)
The skates can also be used as a decorative object, hung on a wall, or to skate by adding wheels.
The Skateroom collaborates with the greatest contemporary artists to create democratically priced art editions on the flagship medium of counter-culture: skateboarding. They are also the originators of a social initiative, and donate part of their income to the NGO "Skateistan", which gives children and young people access to education and skate programmes in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa.
