The stunning and vibrant design of this eyeglass case is adapted from plate 20 of a 1926 portfolio held at the V&A Art Library entitled Kaleidoscope, Abstract Ornaments: Eighty-Seven Patterns in Twenty Plates by French artists Ad. and M.P. Verneuil and Saude Jean.
