The musée du quai Branly is dedicating an exhibition to the figure of the zombie , questioning an anthropological reality between knowledge and fiction. It looks back at the African roots of a term today linked to the Haitian voodoo religion but with multiple meanings. The special edition published for the occasion lifts the veil on the mysterious voodoo ritual of zombification, an ancestral supernatural practice, and traces the reasons for its globalization, via literature and the silver screen.

Interview, studies of the work, practical information... This special issue is a richly illustrated presentation of the exhibition "Zombies. Is Death Not an End?" at the Musée du Quai Branly (08 Oct 2024 16 Feb 2025), in preparation for or as a complement to your visit!
