Musée d'Orsay x Macon&Lesquoy
The Musée d'Orsay exhibits the world's richest collection of Impressionist and post-Impressionist paintings, and as part of the 150th anniversary of Impressionism, the Parisian institution asked M&L to revisit some of the museum's iconic works in embroidery.
In these 4 brooches, the designers have tried to reproduce the emotion linked to the reactivity of colors, the movement of the brush and the material of paint.
The embroideries on our brooches are created and designed especially by M&L's designers. They are made entirely by hand, in cannetille thread, using an ancient Indo-Pakistani technique. That's why, in 2009, we recruited our embroiderers in Pakistan, where we built our craft workshop.
Care instructions : Brooches are fragile. Avoid friction and water! To keep them long-lasting, store them carefully in their attractive cardboard box.
