Geste/s invites you to a resolutely optimistic summer by summoning the joy of living at the heart of its tenth delivery. A number as deliciously unexpected as it is iconoclastic to remind us that if the hand is an intelligence, it is also a feeling. And if there was never far from the established empathy. From beautiful meetings of craftsmen and artists to major reports, our journalists, authors and photographers bear witness to this talent for excellence when it works for beauty as well as for pleasure. Through workshops and factories, materials and manners, the thread of the tool and the genius of making, Geste/s tells why they are artisans of happiness and how they offer an echo to the times in cultivating, among other senses, that of making people happy.
To embody our theme, we invited Vincent Darré - brilliant decoration troublemaker - to design a cover design, and to which we devoted a long report where he tells himself in a story as moving as... completely Darré. We are going to discover the National Center for Costume and Stage in Moulins, Geoffrey Hillereau's workshop, the Alain Ducasse chocolate factory in Paris, the Museum of Fairground Arts in Bercy, the Son Vell heritage residence in Minorca...
