2024 is the Ensor year. James Ensor, maestro will be one of the first books to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the death of the famous Belgian artist, the catalog also accompanying the exhibition of the same name at the Bozar-Palais des Beaux-Arts.

Xavier Tricot, one of the world's most renowned Ensor experts and director of the James Ensor House in Ostend, seeks theatricality in the painter's work. The result is an anthology of around a hundred works. Some, like The Entry of Christ , are looked at differently thanks to a new way of looking at the painting. Other works have never been shown before but can now find their way to a wider audience thanks to the cooperation of some major private collectors.
