These maple wood skates features the work of Basquiat "Irony of a Negro Policeman".
Before Basquiat rose to become one of the most significant artists of the 20th century, his work was already legendary on the streets of downtown NYC. The Skateroom collaborates with the greatest contemporary artists to create democratically priced art editions on the flagship medium of counter-culture: skateboarding. They are also the originators of a social initiative, and donate part of their income to the NGO "Skateistan", which gives children and young people access to education and skate programmes in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa.
