She left the Comédie Française and in 1880 founded her own company, with which she toured the world and became a true international star. Painter, sculptor, writer, theatre director, she was also a film actress, appearing in about ten films. This book, through an extremely rich iconography and short articles, attempts to reveal the multiple faces of this woman, artist, committed, patriot, ambassador of Parisian style, with the aim of answering the question: Who are you, Sarah Bernhardt?
