The Skateroom collaborates with leading contemporary art artists to create democratically priced art editions of the iconic counterculture medium: skateboarding. They are also behind a social initiative, donating a portion of their revenues to the NGO Skateistan, which provides children and youth with access to education and skateboarding programs in Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa. This triptych by Jean-Michel Basquiat entitled "Horn Players" pays tribute to two jazz artists: saxophonist Charlie Parker and trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie. The many words that appear on it refer to the compositions of these two legendary artists.
