This funerary rather than votive stele shows two women, dressed in woolen peplos and wearing a cecryphal headdress whose end falls in front of the ear. They are holding poppy or pomegranate flowers and perhaps a bag of seeds. Origin and date: About 470-450 B.C. Provenance and manufacture : Pharsalus, Thessaly, mission Heuzey and Daumet (1863).
