When are human rights due?. 120 press cartoons
Adopted on 10 December 1948 by the United Nations, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights lists the fundamental rights of all human beings, including freedom of opinion and expression, free movement of persons, non-discrimination and access to education. Seventy years after this founding text was written, what is the state of human rights today?
With a preface by Christiane Taubira - an ardent defender of justice and freedom - and designed in collaboration with Amnesty International, 120 press cartoons selected by Cartooning for Peace denounce attacks on human dignity throughout the world and show us that the common ideal of human rights has yet to be achieved.
