Head of a Woman Modigliani
Reproduction with hand patina. Mold made from an impression of the original work.
Best known for his painting, Modigliani began his career as a sculptor inspired by the "primitive" arts. This stretched head, with its empty gaze, is close to the aesthetic of African masks. This hieratic style was later found in his paintings when the arduousness of the work and the cost of materials made him abandon sculpture.
