The first edition of the trilogy of exhibitions "Vis-à-vis. Fernand Léger and his friends", was presented at the Fernand Léger National Museum in Biot in 2017, the second in 2018.
The last part is accompanied by the publication of this book, which includes all the artists presented at the three events. Richly illustrated, it is organized according to a chronological and thematic plan, and punctuated by a "focus" on the major friendships for Fernand Léger, whether in the world of visual arts or the performing arts.
Thus, for each decade, from the 1900s to the 1950s, works by Juan Gris, Albert Marquet, Constantin Brancusi, Pablo Picasso, Alexander Calder, Georges Braque, Henri Matisse, and twenty other artist friends will dialogue with the works of Fernand Léger.
