The work and its artist

Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894)

French painter of the second half of the 19th century, best known for his activities as a collector and patron of the arts for his impressionist friends from 1877 onwards. Among his most important works are "Les planteurs de parquet" or his paintings on the streets of Paris. Gustave Caillebotte also marked his time with his activities as an engineer and naval architect.
