Originally, the the museum-memorial des Deux Victoires, housed in two rooms in the town hall, drew a parallel between Georges Clemenceau and Jean de Lattre de Tassigny, both born in Mouilleron-en-Pareds: their role in the two world wars, their signature on behalf of France during the two victories ending the two world wars, and their message of national unity.
Opened to the public in 1975, the house where Jean de Lattre de Tassigny was born has preserved its 19th century decor, furniture and gardens. Its presentation enables the role of the marshal to be situated in the political and military history of the 19th century.
