Framed Art Prints

The frame consists of a wooden cast with a simple structure, the idea being to favor the work rather than the frame. The methacrylate we use has been specially selected for its durability, transparency and strength, which guarantee a quality close to that of glass without risk of breakage during transport.

The work and its artist

Rogier van der Weyden (v. 1399/1400-1464)

Rogier van der Weyden is a painter belonging to the Flemish Primitive Movement, born in 1399 or 1400. He settled in Brussels in 1435 and became the official painter of the city. He honoured numerous commissions for the Dukes of Burgundy and their entourage. He made a trip to Italy around 1450 where he acquired a certain renown. He ended his life at the head of a prosperous studio and the author of numerous works. Art historians attribute to him some forty works that are still preserved.
