WRITTEN IN FRENCH
This collection attempts to do civic work by showing what the Constitution of the French Republic is today, even though it was profoundly reformed by the constitutional law of July 23, 2008.
This revision, undoubtedly the most important since 1958, is of such great magnitude that one may in fact wonder whether we are not dealing with "a new Constitution". One of its major innovations lies in the creation of a priority question of constitutionality in Article 61-1 of the Constitution . This procedure, which came into force on 1 March 2010, brings the Constitution into the courts and thus tends to make constitutional law a true living law .
The constitutional law of March 8, 2024 includes a single article, which modifies article 34 of the Constitution to state that " The law determines the conditions under which the freedom guaranteed to women to have recourse to a voluntary termination of pregnancy is exercised ."
