The use of such innovative military equipment was key to the success of the Normandy landings.
The D-Day operation on June 6, 1944, was the largest seaborne military operation in history.
The sea was covered with thousands of ships, millions of soldiers landed.
After two months of fierce fighting, the Atlantic Wall was breached. On August 25, General Leclerc's armored division entered Paris. The victorious advance never stopped.
By the end of 1944, France was liberated.
In 2024, we celebrated the 80th anniversary of D-Day landings.
