FRENCH VERSION
Throughout his life, Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) has never ceased to reinvent his work, exploring painting, sculpture, engraving, ceramics and theatre sets. From his native Spain to France, he upset academic codes, questioned the perception of reality and experienced all styles, from the blue period to the bright colors of the sharks and bathers, through cubism and glued papers. The immersive exhibition at the Carrières des Lumières plunges the visitor into this abundant universe. Monumental projections make it possible to browse his workshops, observe his techniques, from the linocuts to the sculptures, and follow the evolution of his style and offer a unique sensory experience where Picasso's creative energy unfolds. In parallel, a short program immerses the visitor in the abounding world of Frida Kahlo (1907-1954), marked by his connection to Mexican culture, personal dramas and personal experiences. Between plant, organic and anatomical motifs, space reflects its essential themes: identity, suffering and resilience, commitment and avant-gardeism.
Beaux Arts Éditions looks back at the careers of these behemoths of art, deciphers masterpieces and testifies to their genius.
