Just fifty years ago, in 1976, Pierre and Denise Lévy, two passionate and visionary collectors donated nearly 2 000 works to the French State. This is how the Museum of Modern Art of Troyes was born. This major collection offers visitors an exceptional journey through more than a century of art history, from realism to the beginnings of abstraction.

Constantly enriched, the collections have found in 2024 a completely renovated setting. Within the walls of the old episcopal palace is a fruitful dialogue between architectural heritage and modernity of the works.

Abundantly illustrated and with in-depth notices written by the museum's curator, Juliette Faivre-Preda, and arts specialists from Africa and Oceania, this catalogue invites you to extend the discovery and take a renewed look at an exceptional collection.
