The Musée d'Orsay and Monoprix launch an exclusive collection on the occasion of the museum's 40 years. Through a selection of accessible pieces, this collection of fashion and objects for the house is inspired by Impressionist and post-impressionist masterpieces from the museum's collections by honoring the works of female artists. True to its DNA, Monoprix continues its commitment to a design accessible to all, by making dialogue artistic creation and daily use. Impressionist and post-impressionist movements have profoundly transformed the look on everyday life, making ordinary scenes a subject in their own right : from the simple happiness of family life to the joys of outdoor recreation, to the attention paid to the beauty of the landscapes...

With nearly 50 references, it is inspired by colorful patterns and ranges from major works, from Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec to Edouard Manet, including Claude Monet and Paul Signac. Clothing, accessories and objects for the house also reinterpret the works of women artists, often less visible, and for which the Musée d'Orsay pursues an active policy of valorization. Thus, the collection draws its inspiration from the paintings of Berthe Morisot, by Eva Gonzalès, but also from the lesser known Anna Boch.
