Concert of music engraved by Etienne Picart (1632-1721) after Leonello Spada
In the original painting in the Louvre,
Leonello Spada, an Italian painter born in Bologna in 1576, depicts musicians preparing to play. The artist is sometimes nicknamed "Carravaggio's monkey" because of stylistic similarities stylistic similarities, treats this musical scene in an intimate chiaroscuro.
