Open since 1992, this public institution houses one of the finest and most varied collections of Western painting with about 1,000 works on display that span from the fourteenth to the twentieth century with great artists such as Titian, Rubens, Rembrandt, Caravaggio, Van Eyck, Dürer, Canaletto, Monet, Degas, Manet, Renoir, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne, Picasso, Dalí, Kandinsky, Hopper or Pollock. The museum also schedules important temporary exhibitions playing a major role within the cultural agenda of the city.
